Summer Song Sizzler
SUMMER SONG SIZZLER
Hear it. Remember it. Hear it again. Be first. Win!
Summer isn't over yet — and SoundCast Radio is turning up the heat with the Summer Song Sizzler.
Every weekday morning at approximately 7:35am, Gary Walker plays that day's Summer Sizzler Song on The Breakfast Show.
Your job is simple: remember it.
Because sometime later that day — and before 2:00pm — we'll play the same song again in full.
When you hear it for the second time, be quick!
HOW TO PLAY
- Listen to The Breakfast Show with Gary Walker at approximately 7:35am.
- Hear and remember that day's Summer Sizzler Song.
- Keep SoundCast Radio playing.
- Listen for the same song to be played again in full before 2:00pm.
-
As soon as the qualifying play begins, text or WhatsApp:
SIZZLER + YOUR NAME
to:
07396 939000
International format: +44 7396 939000
The first eligible listener to send a valid entry after the qualifying play begins wins that day's prize package.
IMPORTANT
The 7:35am play is there to tell you which song you're listening for.
It is NOT the winning play, so don't enter after hearing it at 7:35am.
Wait until you hear the song again later that day.
THE PRIZE
Each weekday winner receives:
SoundCast Radio Prize Package
A different song gives you another opportunity to win every weekday.
Hear it. Remember it. Hear it again. Be first. Win!
Full Terms & Conditions apply.

2. Competition
The competition is called the SoundCast Radio Summer Song Sizzler ("the Competition").
3. Promotional Period
The Competition runs from 17 AUGUST 2026 until 31 AUGUST 2026, Monday to Friday only.
4. Eligibility
The Competition is open to all eligible persons aged 18 or over, subject to these Terms & Conditions.
5. Minimum Age
Entrants must be at least 18 years old at the time of entry.
6. Geographic Eligibility
Unless otherwise stated, entrants should be resident in the United Kingdom. Those outside of the United Kingdom will win a modified prize due to postage and customs regulations.
7. Excluded Persons
Employees of SoundCast Radio, anyone directly involved in organising or administering the Competition, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
8. Daily Competition
A separate Competition round will operate each eligible weekday.
9. Summer Sizzler Song
At approximately 7:35am BST, Gary Walker will play and identify that day's designated Summer Sizzler Song during The Breakfast Show.
10. Reference Play
The approximately 7:35am broadcast is the Reference Play.
The Reference Play identifies the song listeners need to remember.
The Competition does not open during or following the Reference Play.
Entries received as a result of the Reference Play are invalid.
11. Qualifying Play
The designated Summer Sizzler Song will subsequently be played again in full on SoundCast Radio before 2:00pm BST that day.
This subsequent broadcast is the Qualifying Play.
12. Opening of Entries
Entries open when the Qualifying Play begins.
Any entry timestamped before the Qualifying Play begins will not qualify.
13. How to Enter
Once the Qualifying Play has begun, listeners should send:
“SIZZLER” + THEIR NAME
by text message or WhatsApp to:
07396 939000
or +44 7396 939000 from outside the UK numbering format.
14. Valid Entry
A valid entry must:
- be received after the Qualifying Play has begun;
- contain the required entry information;
- be sent to the correct number;
- be received through the designated messaging system;
- come from an eligible entrant.
15. Winner
Subject to verification, the winner will be the eligible listener whose valid entry is recorded as having been received first after the Qualifying Play begins.
16. Authoritative Records
SoundCast Radio's playout/broadcast records and the timestamps recorded by its designated messaging system will be used to determine the timing and order of entries.
17. Simultaneous Entries
If two or more entries appear to have identical timestamps and the Promoter cannot reasonably establish which was received first, the Promoter may use a fair method to determine the winner.
The method used should be documented.
18. Communications Delays
SoundCast Radio cannot accept responsibility for messages delayed, lost, misdirected or not received because of mobile networks, WhatsApp, internet services, device failure or other third-party systems outside its reasonable control.
19. Entry Costs
Normal text message, mobile data and internet charges imposed by the entrant's provider may apply.
SoundCast Radio does not impose a premium-rate entry charge unless explicitly stated otherwise.
20. Multiple Entries
Recommended rule: Entrants may submit only one entry per daily Competition round.
Multiple messages do not increase the entrant's priority; the timestamp of the first valid message from that entrant will be used.
21. Prize Limit
Recommended rule: A person/household may win only once during the overall promotional period.
22. Prize
Each daily winner will receive:
SoundCast Radio merchandise including hat, summer bag, coffee mug, pens and more!
23. Prize Substitution
If circumstances outside the Promoter's reasonable control make the advertised prize unavailable, SoundCast Radio reserves the right to substitute an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
24. Transferability
Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered unless expressly agreed by the Promoter.
25. Winner Verification
Potential winners may be asked to confirm their:
- Full name
- Age/date of birth
- Country of residency
- Contact details
- Delivery details where necessary
- Compliance with these Terms & Conditions
26. Winner Contact
SoundCast Radio will attempt to contact the potential winner using the telephone number from which the winning entry was received.
27. Failure to Contact
If the potential winner cannot be contacted within 24 HOURS, refuses the prize, or fails eligibility verification, the Promoter may award the prize to the next eligible valid entrant.
28. Accidental Song Play
If the designated Summer Sizzler Song is played accidentally or outside the planned competition sequence, SoundCast Radio will determine whether that broadcast constitutes a valid Qualifying Play.
To protect fairness, the decision will take into account whether the song was played in full and whether listeners could reasonably have understood that entries were open.
Any decision and reason should be logged.
29. Incomplete Play
A partial clip, sting, montage, advertisement, interrupted track or other incomplete use of the designated song does not constitute the Qualifying Play.
30. Technical Failure
If a technical or transmission failure interrupts the planned Qualifying Play, SoundCast Radio may declare that play void and schedule another full Qualifying Play.
Listeners will not be disadvantaged by entries submitted in good faith where reasonably possible.
31. Failure to Play Before 2pm
If the scheduled Qualifying Play does not occur before 2:00pm due to technical or operational circumstances, SoundCast Radio may cancel that day's round or implement an alternative fair procedure.
Any material change will be communicated to listeners as soon as reasonably practicable.
32. No Valid Entries
If no valid entry is received, no prize need be awarded for that day's round.
The Promoter may choose to carry the prize forward, provided doing so is communicated clearly.
33. Fair Play
Entrants must participate personally and fairly.
Automated entry systems, bots, scripts, manipulation of messaging systems or other methods designed to gain an unfair advantage are prohibited.
34. Disqualification
SoundCast Radio may disqualify an entrant where it reasonably believes they have:
- breached these Terms;
- supplied false information;
- attempted to manipulate the Competition;
- used automated entry methods;
- acted fraudulently or unfairly.
35. Personal Information
Personal information collected in connection with the Competition will be used to administer the Competition, verify winners, fulfil prizes and meet applicable legal obligations.
Information will be handled in accordance with SoundCast Radio's Privacy Policy and applicable UK data-protection law.
36. Publicity
By accepting a prize, a winner agrees that SoundCast Radio may announce their first name and general location in reasonable competition publicity, unless there is a legitimate reason not to do so.
Any additional interview, photograph or promotional participation should be separately agreed with the winner.
37. Changes
SoundCast Radio reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Competition where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary.
Any change will be implemented in a manner designed to maintain fairness to entrants.
38. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Subject to that provision, the Promoter is not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control.
39. Decisions
The Promoter's reasonable decisions concerning administration of the Competition and application of these Terms will be final.
Nothing in this clause removes any statutory rights an entrant may have.
40. Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
41. Acceptance
By entering the Summer Song Sizzler, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
